What is Polyarthralgia?

Polyarthralgia

Polyarthralgia is defined as "having pain in more than one joint." It is associated with arthritis—having arthritis or other pain in more than one joint. It is often difficult to diagnose polyarthralgia, as there is a wide range of symptoms. To help with diagnoses, the doctor must review patient history and do a physical examination of the patient.

One of the key signs of polyarthralgia is the length of time for early morning stiffness. If the arthritis is inflammatory, early morning stiffness lasts more than an hour. If the patient has osteoarthritis, stiffness generally resolves in 10 minutes or less.

Polyarthralgia rheumatica or rheumatoid arthritis also often present as symmetrical joint pain. The doctor should also ask the patient about previous infections, especially bowel infections or genitourinary infections, as these may show some of the same features as polyarthralgia.

Treatment for polyarthralgia may include pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy, simple analgesics, upper and lower limb strengthening exercises and NSAIDs. If the diagnosis is polymyalgia rheumatica, this can be controlled with prednisolone and bone protection.

How long can a person have poly arthralgia for? I have been on predisone and have recently stopped taking it but to function daily is a real battle inhave to fight the pain. I was extremely bad when first diagnosed & started off on 2 x 25 mg of prednisone and decreased with time the side affect i really dislike is i"ve put on 15 kg. I have also had a total hysterectomy in march as my GP thought i had a cancer of my right ovary turned out to be huge fibroids wrapped around it. I am hopping that this poly arthralgia would run its course and disappear.

Hi Margaret.

I just discovered I have a cousin in Italy suffering from the same disease. I will be asking that he try drinking Xango for at least a month to see if it helps him. The product comes with a 100% moneyback guarantee if he's not satisfied. I know I'm sounding like an infomercial and I'm not trying to sell anything here. I just googled "polyarthralgia" and came across your post and thought I'd mention it. It's 100% natural and is a strong anti-inflammatory.
